For 80% of the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, aviation is a non-alternative form of annual transport communication. The performance of flights for the implementation of a stable connection between remote settlements and central regions has an extremely high social significance. Some places in our region can only be reached by helicopter.
In addition to social helicopter transportation, KrasAvia JSC provides the following aviation services using helicopters:
- cargo and passenger transportation;
- freight transportation, including using external suspension;
- performing flights for the purpose of providing medical assistance;
- patrolling the forest fund and extinguishing forest fires;
- patrolling of main gas and oil pipelines;
- search and rescue flight support;
- aerial photography;
- tourist flights (refueling of tourists, fishermen, hunters);
- aviation service for arctic expeditions.
The helicopter fleet of KrasAvia JSC includes more than 20 units among which:
The renovation of the helicopter fleet continue now with new Mi-8MTV-1 aircrafts produced in 2021-2025. For delivery until 2027 2 more Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters are planned.
In addition to performing flights using helicopters, KrasAvia JSC, on a long-term contract basis, provides search and rescue support for flights in terms of duty of aircraft and crews of the Mi-8 aircraft in the Siberian zone of aerospace search and rescue at locations: Khatanga, Tura, Vanavara, Dikson, Cape Baranov.
